Because some sites says Download memu 2.9.6.1 but then redirect you to 6.0.6 version :/..

I think it's more than this. I think the site the tutuorial is linking to is downloading 6.0.6 but labeling it as 2.9.6.1
The reason I say this, I followed the tutorial to a T, my install file says 2.9.6.1, yet I have 6 on my system. Trying to do a clean install (again) now.
Can confirm, this was my issue. Even though my install file is labeled as 2.9.6.1, it either installs 6.0.6, or it installs 2.9.6.1 then upgrades on it's own.
After searching out another link to download 2.9.6.1 and removing/reinstalling. Mine is now working.
