clash farmer version check error root cause - Titanium87 - 06-21-2018 Hi Guys, Background: Before the update, i was running the bot smooothly. After the latest update, i received the version check error same with many others. After some troubleshooting with wireshark, I realised that the bot is trying to establish a connection(3 way handshake) with 172.82.135.122 but it failed. After using a vpn, the bot is able to run smoothly and able to ping 172.82.135.122. Those who have received the version check bot error can try to ping 172.82.135.122 on your computer, you should not be receiving a response. Can the admin of the bot change this ip that the bot is trying to communicate to? On my end, I did not have any firewall on when troubleshooting so i believe the issue lies with isp and is beyond the user control RE: clash farmer version check error root cause - Supreme Leader - 06-21-2018 Email [email protected] RE: clash farmer version check error root cause - Dowdy - 06-24-2018 Has anyone found a solution to this problem? RE: clash farmer version check error root cause - BoWitch - 06-24-2018 Wrong Answer TY though for taking the time to write do you have the same problem? i.e. it only works if there is a VPN? if you have having to use a VPN to connect to the game, something is blocking it. logically working from your bot to the server, you should check the following; your anti-virus - Disable to test connection local firewall - Disable to test connection router firewall - Check the logs for any blocks ISP - ensure that your ISP has not turned on any internet safe guards within your account. some UK providers do this. a VPN client just builds a secure tunnel to a VPN server and then onwards using the local ISP from the VPN provider. as this works, you should be looking for local issues.
