trophies how to set range

I had my trophy level set to 1250 and 4000 I was in titan league at about 4200 trophies. ran the bot and it dropped me all the way down to 1250. is this normal?

Yes it's normal. The bot is searching for Dead base and there are around 1250 trophy.

What is the recommendation based on?  Is there a ban risk? I have a th10 using mass miners and I end up in Masters (currently ~2500).

When i was th10, was using Barb/Arch and i was able to get Max ressource every 6 hour. I suggest it !
I set trophy to 1200-2000.
